Flip flops for a wedding?

I didn't see the first question, but I don't agree with the answers you must have gotten. My sister had a very nice wedding and reception, and she wore a combo of flip flops and ballet slippers because she's over 2" taller than her hubby. Nobody fainted or anything. In fact, I doubt anyone even noticed.
