Best place to go on spring break?

My friends and i want to go to a beach, but we dont want a super crowded one full of tourists. We want somewhere on the east coast. We were also planning on staying in a house or condo that we could rent for not too much, since we are all college students paying for school. Does anyone have any good ideas?
