Methods of heating aluminum and copper?

I have to write a experimental procedure for chemistry class which involves heating two different metals. I thought of using a Bunsen burner, but my teacher said it would be a last resort as Bunsen burners would not evenly heat these materials. The only other thing that came to mind was a microwave - but that would not end well. Haha (:
