What is the book that takes place in Zanzibar called?

Okay, so i cant even remember the characters. all I remember is that it was about this girl who was found on a beach in a coma. her families yearly trip is soon and they go and leave her in the hospital. Her brother meets her boyfriends sister and falls in love, while he tries to figure out what happened to his sister. in the end she dies, anyone know??
